Another Cup with Andrea
Revelations, ruminations, relationships, and occasional rants.
Happy 2021 and welcome to the introduction of Another Cup with Andrea — an email newsletter written by me, Andrea E. Hall. The idea of launching a newsletter has been buzzing around in my head for at least a year, but obsessive overthinking kept me from going for it.
What could I possibly write about in a newsletter that would be substantively different than my blog posts? Could I be consistent enough to keep people interested in what I have to say and share? What would I even title the newsletter? It has to be something catchy and cool!
I finally decided to abandon the negative self-talk and just do it — doubts be damned. The worst outcome would be that no one ever reads this thing, and even so, I wouldn’t consider it to be a total fail because at least I went after what I wanted. And after enduring the terribleness that was 2020, what’s become abundantly clear to me is life is way too precious and time way too finite to not at least try to go after everything I want. And in this moment, what I really want is to write more and blog less.
So, in the spirit of writing more and blogging less, Another Cup with Andrea will be an ongoing collection of stories and essays about personal revelations, ruminations, relationships, and occasional rants, of course. Last year, I was overly concerned with my blog’s analytics and stats, and would stress myself out when a post didn’t perform as well as I thought it should. Truthfully, I was chasing the blogger and influencer bag and wasn’t being true to myself. This year, though, I’m committed to writing louder and sharing more boldly than ever before. Another Cup with Andrea will be a way for me to build an authentic community with other like-minded women and get back to the heartbeat and pulse of what good old fashion blogging and online writing used to be. I miss that and I know so many others do, too.
Another Cup with Andrea is a free newsletter delivered straight to your inbox once a week — usually Sunday afternoons or Monday mornings. Sign up now so you don’t miss the first issue. And in the meantime, tell your friends to sign up, too!
